Witnesses Alleged Wied's Campaign Circulators Tricked Voters Into Signing Nomination Papers By Claiming They Were A Petition To Help The Homeless. According to Wisconsin Public Radio, complaints filed with the Wisconsin Elections Commission alleged that circulators "deliberately misled electors to believe that they were providing signatures for 'housing for the homeless' when, in reality, they were signing the Respondent's nominating papers."
