Max Miller has voted against Ohioans to give the wealthiest Americans’ tax breaks and support an agenda that raised costs and left Ohioans behind. When he campaigned, Miller promised to fight for seniors and workers but voted to cut Medicare by $500 billion, voted for a bill that would kick 17 million Americans off their health insurance including more than 22,000 of his own constituents, and voted to cut food assistance that more than 21,000 households in his district relied on the afford groceries. Miller voted to protect Trump’s tariffs six different times, even as it became clear they were hurting Ohio businesses, manufacturers, and causing layoffs. Miller supported DOGE and was proud to support its budget cuts that harmed Ohio’s food banks, farmers, and fair housing organizations. Miller requested that the National Guard be sent to Cleveland despite crime rates going down. Miller was also no stranger to legal battles. Miller accused someone of threatening his life in an antisemitic road rage incident, but his account of events was questioned in a defamation suit – the case is still ongoing. Miller had a contentious relationship with his ex-wife and was recently accused of speaking to her in a demeaning manner and having conducted dangerous physical behavior in the presence of their child. Miller also filed a defamation suit against his ex-girlfriend Stephanie Grisham shortly after she published an op-ed about an abusive relationship she had been in with a fellow White House staffer during the first Trump administration. Miller has demonstrated time and time again that he’s wrong for Ohio’s 7th congressional district.

- Last June, Miller accused someone of running him off the road, threatening his life and that of his family, and shouting antisemitic remarks at him. As a result of Miller’s accusation, Hamdan’s place of work was raided and he was charged with ethnic intimidation and aggravated menacing. During the proceedings, Hamdan’s legal team presented Hamdan’s footage of the incident, ODOT surveillance footage, data from Hamdan’s Tesla, and testimony from an acoustic expert that contradicted claims of Miller’s account. Hamdan later pleaded guilty to lesser charges then sued Miller for defamation. Miller recently filed legal papers that accused Hamdan of a premeditated antisemitic attack and of conspiring to fake evidence. The case is ongoing.
- Miller has had a contentious legal history with his ex-wife. In August 2024, Miller filed for divorce from Emily Moreno Miller. The couple eventually reached a settlement before the case went to trial where Miller had subpoenaed Moreno Miller’s father Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno to testify. The settlement included a joint custody agreement that his ex-wife recently requested to change after she alleged Miller spoke to her in an aggressive and demeaning manner and conducted dangerous physical behavior in the presence of their daughter.

Two years later, he voluntarily dropped the lawsuit after both parties came to an agreement.

- Shortly after, Trump endorsed Miller’s campaign for congress in Gonzales’ district making Miller the first of many “revenge endorsements.”
- At the end of 2021, Miller was subpoenaed by the House select committee that investigated the January 6th riot at the US Capitol to testify regarding his involvement in planning the rally on January 6th.
