In July 2022, according to Congressional Quarterly, Fitzpatrick voted
for the Continental Divide Trail Completion Act, which "For natural
disaster mitigation, the bill would establish and authorize $2.2
billion over five years for a National Wildland Fire Risk Reduction
Program within the Office of Science and Technology Policy to support
research and development to reduce the loss of life and property from
wildland fires." The vote was on passage. The House passed the bill by a
vote of 218-199, thus the bill was sent to the Senate. The Senate did
