In her 2026 attorney general campaign, Guzmán Fralick worked to align herself with Trump, and said the first action she would take in office was to “stop suing our president.” Guzmán Fralick said she supported the actions Trump has taken in office so far, and said she believed Trump “knows way more than I do.”
Guzmán Fralick also attempted to paint her Republican primary opponent, Danny Tarkanian, as a never-Trumper. Guzmán Fralick attacked Tarkanian using an op-ed he shared in 2024 titled, “I hate Trump, but I’m glad he won.” Guzmán Fralick said the post showed that Tarkanian, and anyone who supported him, hated Trump, which would hurt him in the primary because Trump was “extremely popular with our party.”
April 2026: Guzmán Fralick Said The First Thing She Would Do As Attorney General Was “Stop Suing Our President” And Instead “Sue California Because Of Our Gas Prices,” Which She Said Was Her “Favorite Thing.” According to Guzmán Fralick at Lombardo’s Reno office opening, “And as soon as I get in there, I am going to make sure that we stop suing our president. I mean, the thing is that we have to sue California because of our gas prices, because that's like my favorite thing. If anything, it's for that that I'm running for office because I want to make sure that we protect Nevadans and we're going to focus on Nevada.” [Adriana Guzmán Fralick - Governor Lombardo Reno Office Opening, 4/6/26] (AUDIO)
Guzmán Fralick Said She Supported Trump “As Far As What He’s Done” Because “He Knows Way More Than I Do.” According to the Nevada Independent, “She added that she supports Trump's policies. ‘He campaigned on the promises that he's now keeping,’ she said. ‘It's a tough job, and he knows way more than I do. I can't imagine what he knows that we don't know. But as far as what he's done, I support him.’” [Nevada Independent, 4/22/26]
Guzmán Fralick Accused Her Primary Opponent, Danny Tarkanian, Of Saying “I Hate Trump” After He Shared A 2024 Op-Ed Titled, “I Hate Trump, But I’m Glad He Won.” According to the Nevada Independent, “Guzmán Fralick's campaign sent out a fundraising message accusing Tarkanian of saying ‘I hate Trump.’ It links back to a post he made on X in 2024, linking to an article with the headline ‘Opinion: I hate Trump, but I'm glad he won.’ The article was written by a person who dislikes Trump's personality but is more concerned with the behavior on the left.” [Nevada Independent, 4/22/26]
Guzmán Fralick Said Voters Who Agreed With Tarkanian After He Said “I Hate Trump” Must Also “Hate Trump.” According to the Reno Gazette Journal, “Guzman Fralick responded that people are smart enough to make up their own minds about the Trump comment. 'If you're agreeing with somebody that says 'I hate Trump,'' she said, 'well, then, you hate Trump.” [Reno Gazette Journal, 4/3/26]
