When federal immigration agents killed two Americans in Minnesota, Guzmán Fralick defended their actions, claiming they were “trying to do a job” and following “orders.” Guzmán Fralick argued the aggressive and deadly immigration tactics were Trump doing the job Americans “elected [him] to do.”
Guzmán Fralick also made “stopping Sanctuary cities” a main priority of her campaign, and said local law enforcement needed to “be free to work with federal immigration officials to keep dangerous criminals off our streets.” This is despite the fact that when Guzman was 9, she immigrated to America from Mexico, an experience which she claimed “gave her empathy.”
January 2026: Guzmán Fralick Said Federal Immigration Agents Who Killed Two Americans In Minnesota Were “Trying To Do A Job” And Following “Orders.” According to the Nevada Current, “Adriana Guzman Fralick, a Republican who is running for Attorney General, said she condones ICE's tactics. 'They're trying to do a job. They've got orders,' Fralick said when reached by phone Monday. 'If you put yourself in their position, they have to go and try to get a criminal. We put into office the president to do a job. He was elected to do what we want him to do.” [Nevada Current, 1/27/26]
Guzmán Fralick Supported The Trump Administration’s Aggressive Immigration Tactics In Minnesota Because Trump “Was Elected To Do What We Want Him To Do” According to the Nevada Current, “Earlier this year, after U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agents fatally shot Minnesotan Alex Pretti and sparked national outrage, Guzmán Fralick condoned the Trump administration’s aggressive immigration tactics. ‘They’re trying to do a job. They’ve got orders,’ she told the Current in January. ‘If you put yourself in their position, they have to go and try to get a criminal. We put into office the president to do a job. He was elected to do what we want him to do.’” [Nevada Current, 4/28/26]
2026: Guzmán Fralick Opposed Sanctuary Policies To Ensure Local Authorities Were “Free To Work With Federal Immigration Officials To Keep Dangerous Criminals Off Our Streets.” According to Adriana Guzmán Fralick for Attorney General, “Stopping Sanctuary Cities Nevada cannot afford to become a haven for criminals who break our immigration laws. Sanctuary policies tie the hands of law enforcement and put communities at risk by protecting dangerous offenders from deportation. Adriana stands with Governor Joe Lombardo and President Donald J. Trump in opposing sanctuary cities and will ensure Nevada never adopts these reckless policies. Local authorities must be free to work with federal immigration officials to keep dangerous criminals off our streets. Our state must always stand for the rule of law and put the safety of Nevadans first.”
