2021: Schweikert Voted Against Funding Certain Agriculture Department Housing Programs, Including $200 Million Annually Through FY 2026 For Rural Multifamily Housing Assistance And $75 Million Annually Through FY 2031 For Housing Loan Assistance For Agricultural Workers. In March 2021, Schweikert voted against the Farm Workforce Modernization Act of 2021 which would, according to Congressional Quarterly, "authorize funding for certain Agriculture Department housing programs [...] it would authorize funding for certain Agriculture Department rural housing assistance programs, including $200 million annually through fiscal 2026 for rural multifamily housing assistance and $75 million annually through fiscal 2031 for housing loan assistance for agricultural workers." The vote was on passage. The House passed the bill by a vote of 247-174. The Senate did not take substantive action on the bill.
