¶ Brad Sherman Opposed Marriage Equality And LGBTQ Rights
- Brad Sherman opposed marriage equality and LGBTQ rights through religious objections, and sponsored measures that sought to ban same-sex marriage and embed a restrictive definition of marriage into the Iowa Constitution. He reaffirmed those views in public remarks rooted in religious objections and signaled he would continue pursuing that agenda if elected governor.

¶ Brad Sherman Opposed The Separation Of Church And State
- Brad Sherman advocated against the separation of church and state, calling it a âmythâ and urging for greater Christian influence over the American government. Sherman was also a part of religious leaders who believed Trumpâs presidential win was âordained by God.â During a prayer at a Cedar Rapids Rally in 2023, Sherman said âthe gates of Hell will not prevailâ over Trump and said it was Godâs âcallingâ for Trump to win the election.

- Brad Sherman campaigned on âmedical freedomâ and sowed distrust in public health initiatives and vaccines, accusing the âmedical establishmentâ of âtyrannyâ during the COVID-19 pandemic.
